Sunny city walks: a vibrant look in a picturesque Nice

There is something particular about the sunlight in Nice and in the whole French Riviera.

As the impressionist painter Henri Matisse once said: ''when I realized that every morning I would see that light again, I could not believe my happiness.'' No surprise that the works he created during his stay in Nice were full of radiant colors.

Nice covers a wide range of architectural palette. The heart of it, Vieux-Nice, the old town, is known for its colorful houses and palaces that resemble the ones in Italian towns. A combination of an intense Mediterranean light and colors has served as an inspiration to many artists. Walking in a colorful Nice feels like walking in a painting.

My style witnessed a transformation after moving to Nice and a color is a keyword here. Wearing colorful long dresses with flower patterns and hats could not fit any better. Sun is great, sun protection also. It goes hand in hand. For day time when the sun is the most active I choose wide-cut pants, silk summer kimonos and long skirts to let my body breath.

Whereas in summer evenings I prefer to wear short sleeves and skirts.

For this look I opted for a gold chain printed green shirt, a pop art printed white short skirt and a yellow hat.
